For who?
HOBBY: Lessons are for both children (over 8 years) and adults. The lessons will be customized according to the age and level of training of each learner.
PERFORMANCE: Lessons are addressed to pupils and students who want to specialize in playing classical guitar.
How long does a lesson take?
A lesson can last:
– 30 minutes
– 45 minutes
– 60 minutes
At the teacher or at the student’s home?
For individual lessons, during the school year, the student will have to move to the teacher’ s office. During summer holidays, lessons can also be scheduled at the student’ s home. For intermediate or advanced learners, lessons can also be held on Skype (see Skype Lessons)
What is the content of the lessons?
HOBBY: instrument knowledge, instrumental position, basic technical exercises, learning chords, note reading, interpretation of musical fragments, rhythmic sense development, cultivation of creativity in interpretation.
PERFORMANCE – beginner level: instrumental position, recognition and reproduction of notes on the music stave, acquiring specific notions of musical language, correct plucking of the strings, basic technical elements, relaxation and breathing, compiling a repertoire appropriate to the age and level of playing of each student, developing both a sensitive and an intelligent interpretation.
PERFORMANCE – for intermediate and advanced level: setting goals, choosing the repertoire, making a technical programme, learning ways of interpretation according to different stylistic periods, acquiring different ways of articulation, choosing fingerings, paying attention to details in performing while keeping the guidelines written on the score.
How do lessons work?
HOBBY
Individual lessons are based on going through the stages of assimilation of knowledge and skills required for guitar playing. The basic technical elements will be applied later on to learn guitar pieces. In the teacher-student learning relationship, all explanations will be accompanied by examples.
PERFORMANCE
Lessons are structured so as each learner can develop their skills as quicly as possible, but in a personal pace of assimilation. The knowledge and technical elements learned during the lessons will be consolidated at home by the student through sustained individual practice.
How do I schedule the lessons?
Lessons are offered on packs of 4 sessions. Sheduling can be done by phone or e-mail.

What kind of instrument do I need?
HOBBY: To learn to play the guitar as a hobby, a factory instrument is enough.
PERFORMANCE: For a beginner level, the instrument must allow for the proper learning of basic guitar techniques. Thus, a factory instrument is sufficient.
