About a year ago, my son Andrew, who at that time was 9 years old, started studying with Tudor through Skype, because we are not living in Romania. Initially I did not know if this relatively new teaching environment of an instrument would be effective or even possible, especially for a child. But Tudor presented a very clear programe with short and long term goals and showed amazing communication with Andrew, managing to keep his attention for long periods of time in which he taught all aspects of instrument technique, musical interpretation and historical context, in a very pleasant and easy to understand way, gaining confidence and motivating him to study seriously and patinetly. Shortly after the beginning of the lessons, Andrew managed to make extraordinary progress, confirmed on stage and in guitar competitions, where he received awards even in age categories older than his age.

In life you meet all sorts of people in all sorts of situations. Seldom it happens not to know too much about a person before you know him and to have the extraordinary surprise all your expectations to be overcome. I admit that Tudor was not my first option for a project that we were preparing for the summer of 2018. It was an ambitious and difficult program that involved a lot of research, musical documentation and creativity, initiative and an important dose of courage. The complexity of the artistic requirements were surpassed only by the novelty of the program which was at the stage of a concept. And so it started one of the most fascinating and refreshing encounters out of the many experiences I have had over the years with musicians of all kinds. It was an effervescent concert, graceful and deep, in which almost all of the pieces were presented at the first hearing. Because Tudor is not only a talented guitarist, with exceptional technique and an impressive repertoire, he is also a refined arranger. He blends with skill and grace the energy with delicacy, the intuition with erudition, the peace with tumult. Empathic and communicative, Tudor masters the rare science of transmitting the message and emotion to the public. Where does the seduction come from a seemingly feeble being? The feeling that we had when a whole church was slowly murmuring, like in an evening prayer, the lyrisc of his pieces without words, can not be described in words.
A perfect professionist, he conquered me in each of the four days spent together through rigor and discipline, through seriousness and involvement.
